My New Year fitness and dance goals had to be paused cause I've been recovering from bronchitis but starting to feel much better now, so the new year will be February for me haha.
I found some old pictures of teenage me being a lot braver with her dancing than 32 year old me. Pic 1 was 18 year old me dancing for my high school at a talent contest (and won 🏆! In 2011.) And pic 2 is me dancing at one of the World Belly Dance day events when I was 19. I even recently found a video of me performing my first solo piece at an event when I was 17! She was so confident!
Nowadays I mostly dance in my room and seemed to have lost my confidence to belly dance in public. But, I decided to make this post because I was sent a video of me recently dancing at a bridal shower and having fun on the dance floor and I looked SO happy and confident just having fun casually dancing that it lit a fire in me.
So, even if it's just baby steps, I hope that in 2026 I can post at least 1 dance video this year in this group. That's my dance goal for the year. I hope all your dance goals come true this year too! Let's shimmy 😁🎉💜💜💜💜!!
