Hi Valerie, the first step would be to find your range of motion. How much depth do you already have on the vertical hip isolation? Then you will break the progression of the micro into 3 or 4 steps that move through your range of motion. The issue may be you are making too large of a move on the first one. Additionally any side, flank stretches can help open that area up a bit. Id suggest working on increasing range of motion on your single vertical hip isolation.

@carla Does it help if you keep your arm extended out. You can let go of the vwil but keep your arm extended? Then over time maybe you will feel the opportunity to bring the free hand to the hip or head. Or practice many times with both hands on the veil and practice releasing in while doing the barrel turn. Good luck.
@carla you can look online for tips to care for the specific type of fabric. You typically want to hand wash them and air dry. I will sometimes pop mine in the dryer very low setting with a damp cloth to dewrinkle them. I lightly fold and store them in my closet. My care routine for them has been minimal.
