At the beginning when we shift the weight and step touch is it just the weighted leg that shimmies (bends) or are both knees supposed to still alternate? And are the one leg shimmies similar to 1-legged hip lifts at a slower pace?

Thank you Anna! This was so nice and felt like it stretched everything.

Yes, I have tried those videos and it was helpful to feel the difference. Depending on where my toes are pointed. I think it feels a little better pointing slightly outwards. It will probably just take more practice and strength building on my part.

I've noticed especially with the hip shimmy (weight in the heels) that I tense up and get uneven when I try to speed up. Almost get a hitch in there somewhere. Do you have any suggestions for unlocking this tension? I wonder if I'm trying to go too big with my hips. It turns into a really sharp, jutting, and uneven motion.

This was wonderful. A perfect blend of technique and fun flowy moves. Thank you for explaining the kinetic chain. I still haven't figured out my foot position yet and I especially feel it when I try to shimmy.

The back to front figure eight had a tiny spark where it started to make sense. The first time I tried that I was so lost. Thanks again!

Thank you for this. When you tell us to pull the bellybutton into the spine, is it a sucking in feeling? I want to make sure that I'm doing this correctly.

This is so much fun! I'm a total beginner and tried this when I first started a few months ago and it was fun back then, but I was a little lost and stopped after the first 2 sections. Since then, I have worked through 1 round of the beginner's bundle and a round of the fundamentals and reattempted this up to the same point and it makes a lot more sense to my body now! I'm going to keep working on this. I'm so excited 💕 Thank you for being an amazing 😍 teacher!
