I agree. It is one of the more advanced moves as it is several seamless layers. Keep it up, you will get it!!

Hi Nancy Rahme ❀️That is correct. Over time, you will develop muscle memory, allowing you to make your moves more precise and efficient. I promise you, it will happen!!  Keep up the great work, my friend!! One day, it will click.

Hi Michelle,

Here is part 1, and part 2 is linked in the description of part 1 video.Β  Enjoy

Hi Laura, That's a cool idea. I have seen some information similar to this floating around. While I would love to create a family tree, that is not as easy as it sounds, and I am not an expert on that kind of historical lineage. Some dancers have devoted an entire academic career to it, and we still have some gaps in our understanding. One such dancer is Nisaa:

When it comes to Egyptian-style dance done by Egyptians, it's clear that Baladi is a big foundation. However, even that is changing due to social media and the heavy influx of foreign dancers working in Egypt in the last decade or so. Trying to parse out influence and lineage with styles once it left Egypt is also difficult. The dance is not always linear or branching. Sometimes, it is circular, and there are new branches still forming. Thanks for your great question.Β

Hi Neli,Great question. I do keep the space of breath even in a drum solo. I think it is one of the things that makes my drum solo's unique.Β It definitely takes time and practice to master. It feels counterintuitive to have space between fast-paced moves, but it is possible by adjusting the size and depth of the movement. Ill touch on it in a future video. Thanks for asking!
