Hi Paula, Veil work was more of a costume accessory and used briefly upon an entrance. They didnt really do much if any of the tricks we do in modern styling.  Omoladun did a very nice Golden Era style Choreo with veil that demonstrates that. https://raqsonline.com/programs/collection-choreography-sereis?cid=2624661&permalink=omoladun-golden-era-performance
